The UN Sustainable Development Goals are a set of 17 goals that define global sustainable development priorities and aspirations for 2030 adopted by the United Nations General Assembly.
The Australian Road Safety Foundation is committed to impacting the community and to articulating the good work with international sustainable strategies, goals and frameworks. Our actions are aligned with the United Nations Sustainability Goals.

What are we doing to make a difference?
Running year-round campaigns to promote road safety and strategies that will assist in addressing road safety issues across all sectors
Target 9.1
Develop quality, reliable, sustainable and resilient infrastructure, including regional and transborder infrastructure, to support economic development and human wellbeing, with a focus on affordable and equitable access for all
What are we doing to make a difference?
Working with partner organisations to participate in the development of road safety research to educate the community to reduce the national road toll
Target 11.2
By 2030, provide access to safe, affordable, accessible and sustainable transport systems for all, improving road safety, notably by expanding public transport, with special attention to the needs of those in vulnerable situations, women, children, persons with disabilities and older persons

Advocacy and educational support for victims of road trauma in regional communities
Target 17.6
Enhance the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development, complemented by multi-stakeholder partnerships that mobilise and share knowledge, expertise, technology and financial resources, to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals in all countries, in particular developing countries

Encourage and promote effective public, public-private and civil society partnerships, building on the experience and resourcing strategies of partnerships

Prevention of physical and mental illness, death and disability that result from road crashes and incidents by providing educational resources to governments, schools and community organisations
